SCORE OF A SCULPTURE

A score for a box; intially a representation of the tactile nature of material associated to sound - however, when placed in a live gallery setting the composition essentially morphed into a backing track for a live performance where I in turn interacted with the sculpture. Standing on top of it, allowing it to house other artists’ works, and allowing for it to eventually be repurposed into a very heavy and uncomfortable chair. The box is 18mm thick plywood that was hand cut from a full sheet, a very physcially demanding task. Installed at Gallery 46, January, 2024.
